Travelling to The Primary Care Show

Located bang in the middle of the UK’s motorway network, jumping in the car is the ideal way to get to the NEC.

You won’t even need to brave the elements. Direct services run all day, however if you’re travelling from further afield you may need to catch a connecting train at Birmingham New Street, which is less than a 15-minute journey away.

Cycling

The best and safest way to get to us by your own steam is to use the shared cycle footpath route to Birmingham International Railway Station and then the NEC is a short walk from there, it should take you about 10 minutes.

Bus & Coach 

From Birmingham Airport you can get to the NEC via the free air-rail link, which takes just 90 seconds and runs every two minutes.

Airports

Simply take the free and fast air-rail link to Birmingham International Railway Station located at the upper level of Terminal 1. The train runs every two minutes and only takes 90 seconds. When you arrive just head straight through to the NEC.

Children

Children under the age of 18 are not permitted to access the event.

Cashless Venue

The NEC are only accepting cards and contactless payments across all food and beverage offers.

You’ll find portable cash dispensers (withdrawal fees apply) around the venue, while free NatWest and HSBC ATMs can be found at the train station.

Cloakrooms

Cloakrooms can be found adjacent to our halls. Items are charged at £2 per coat and £3 per bag (cloakrooms are open 30 minutes prior the event opening and close when the event closes).

Dogs

NEC welcomes all guidance and assistance dogs. No other dogs/pets permitted.

Disabled facilities

The NEC aims to be fully user-friendly for visitors with access needs. View a quick guide to some of their facilities here.

Food and drink

The hall features coffee areas and a cafe where meals are available, and The NEC is equipped with a range of restaurants, cafes and bars. To see the full list, please visit the NEC website.

Lost property

Head straight to the NEC main lost property area in the Security Office in the Piazza between Subway and Hall 1. There’s also a smaller Security Office in the Atrium near Hall 6. Once the show’s over all lost property is moved to the Piazza Security Office, so give them a call on 0121 767 3883 and they’ll do their best to help.

Mobile charging

If you have low battery charge on your smart phone, use one of the secure charging units in the Piazza and Atrium. Compatible with most major models, charging costs £2.00 for up to 60 minutes and £4.00 for 60+ minutes.  Please note, the charging units accept contactless payment only and include the following charging leads: Lightning cable, Micro USB, USB Type-C.

Prayer room

NEC have a chaplain available for consultation and support, and also a popular multi-faith prayer room, available on the Piazza by Hall 3. 

WiFi

All visitors to the NEC can connect to WiFi across the entire venue completely free of charge.
